Spring Travel Must-Have

Wet Ones

Em isn’t involved in any school sports or extra curricular activities, but we travel quite frequently as a family during the spring time. I think travel is a great substitute for extra activities. Traveling gives her a chance to learn about new areas, explore different destinations and understand that there is a much bigger world out there beside our itty bitty small town.

Wet Ones

I mix our travels up with fun, education, history and outdoor activities. Em isn’t a fan of the history component, but I figure she is bound to learn something even if she is not 100% committed to listening. Actually, I’m hoping some of it just absorbs in and she’ll be able to recall it later. On a recent trip she was dreading another visit to a historical site, but she did wander through the exhibits with me and learned a few interesting facts.

Of course, she loves the fun activities I plan which is often composed of shopping. Our favorite shopping is thrift shopping. We love seeing what thrift stores in other areas has to offer and often times find treasures to bring home. I’m always watching for great dishes for food props and Em is always looking for great clothes.

The one thing I must have when we travel is a couple of packages of Wet Ones Hand Wipes. One package is always in my purse. I never know when they will be needed during travel so I try to be prepared. A recent trip to the Indy Zoo had me touching a shark. Thankfully, I had Wet Ones with me to clean up my hands afterwards. Another trip had us wandering through quite a few thrift stores. As much as we love thrift shopping I often leave feeling like my hands are dirty. It’s nice to be able to grab a Wet One and clean up. A few other spring travel must haves include my camera, flip-flops, sunscreen and a great book. You need to be prepared for the unexpected photo opps and/or opportunities to sit outside and enjoy the sun with a good book.

What travel items do you pack for spring travels?

I participated in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Wet Ones. I
received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Get Smooth For Summer In Three Simple Steps #NairSummer

Nair

Summer is almost here and that means shorts, skirts, tank tops and strappy dresses. That also means keeping skin nice, smooth and worthy of showing off. Personally, I get lazy about shaving (yes, I just admitted that), but I’m too frugal to pay for wax or laser treatments. Waxing, lets admit, would just be painful …Read More
