Popcorn!

As an adult I’ve never taken the time to make popcorn on the stove. It’s always been microwave popcorn. I finally decided to change that and give the stove top popcorn a try. I have very fond memories of my mom popping corn this way..as a child I loved shaking the Hamady bag after mom poured the melted butter on top (Hamady was a chain grocery store in the greater flint area…we didn’t have paper bags at the house, we had Hamady bags :) ) Making the popcorn was just as I remember and brought back great memories. Don’t think we’ll ever go back to microwave popcorn now.

Quite honestly, I can’t believe we haven’t done this sooner. It’s cheap, takes about the same amount of time as microwave popcorn and tastes lots better.
