Cupcakes

Back in December I subscribed to Southern Living magazine. I received my first issue the other day. I really enjoyed reading the articles and looking at the beautiful photos. As I was flipping through the magazine I seen a recipe for cupcakes, not just any cupcakes, but Sour Cream Pound Cake cupcakes—yum! I had everything on hand I needed to make them so I gave it a go.

Let me just say it’s a bit of a challenge to follow the recipe, mix, AND try to take photos—-I think I need a third arm :) My electric mixer died while I making these so I had to fall back on good old manual labor—good arm workout!

Oh, I forgot to mention that a couple weekends ago I made my very first trip to Hobby Lobby Nope, I had never been before and finally stopped at one while we were downstate visiting my parents. Anyways, while I was there I picked up these cute red, white, and pink cupcake liners.

MMMmmmmmmm….fresh out of the oven:

Here they are all frosted and ready to eat. My daughter thought they needed more color. I think they would look great with sprinkles or colored frosting.

These were excellent–very, very good! Notice I say ‘were’—with 5 people in the house treats go very quickly.

What is your favorite cupcake?
