Why is it that during the winter months, when my schedule is at its craziest, I always end up sick? I’m not sure if it’s the swings in our weather. Warm days (well, by warm I mean in the 30’s) to freezing cold days. Maybe its from staying inside too much and the germs get trapped indoors and, because I’m lucky, the germs find their way to me. It could just be the season for coming down with colds and sinus congestion.
Regardless, trying to keep up with a hectic schedule can be challenging enough, but throw in a cold, sinus congestion or just feeling sick and it throws me completely off my game plan. Quite honestly I don’t think any of us have time to be sick. There are deadlines to meet, children to care for, meals to be made, a house to be cleaned, etc, etc. The list can go on and on.
I have tried to push through when I’m feeling awful and it is hard. I usually end up in bed for a couple days and then I just worry about what a train wreck the house will look like when I’m finally able to crawl out of bed. Having a hectic schedule plus being sick just does not work.
If congestion starts to be a problem for me I take Mucinex to help clear it up. It’s worked pretty well for me and I’m always grateful when I start feeling better. The worse sickness I deal with during the winters though is sinus pressure. It usually hits me and hits me hard, landing me in bed for days.
Thankfully, Mucinex has a new ick buster available called Maximum Strength* Mucinex® Sinus-Max™ Pressure & Pain. Hallelujah! Hopefully this triple action formula that fights mucus, congestion, sinus pressure and headache/pain will keep me from feeling my worst when I need to be at my best and will hopefully allow me to keep up with the hectic schedule that is my life.
