Vince Tablet For Kids Review

I have always thought of myself as being pretty “up” on technology. I mean I can do things on a computer that most can’t. However it sort of came to my attention recently that as a family we were falling behind with the times. My oldest daughter really wanted a tablet. I will be honest I was rather hesitant about adding technology to our family. Recently though I had attended a seminar on children and safety and I had an a-ha moment. The seminar talked about the need for parents to stay on top of technology in order to keep kids safe. How can we keep our kids safe when we don’t understand the technology? Our oldest earned that tablet by saving her money and it’s been a bit of a challenge for us with regards to safety. There are pop up ads and when our youngest plays a game she often clicks on things she shouldn’t. Some of the games allow people to comment on them which you just never know what someone might say. Safety is just really important to us.

In comes the Vinci tablet to the rescue. A huge appeal for me is the safety of this tablet for kids. There are no ads and no pop ups. No worries! It’s full of educational games too.

The first thing we noticed when we pulled the Vinci out of the box was just how sturdy this tablet is. It has a rubberized guard all the way around the tablet. It really gives it a nice solid feel. This makes it really easy for little hands to hold onto and to carry.

The next thing that we noticed was when we turned on the Vinci tablet just how easy it was. We literally turned it on and it was ready for use! This tablet came preloaded with many apps. If you’re even a little technology challenged you’ll love this! Within minutes our 3 year old was playing one of the games. And lucky her she loves music and the first game she chose was a music game. This is her playing the music game literally minutes after turning it on.

We have the Vinci Tab II 7” tablet that is equipped with wi-fi and has a parent mode. So this tablet isn’t just for your kids! Did you hear that? It isn’t just for your kids! Parents can enjoy adult tablet use too! You’re able to surf the internet, check your email, do social networking and more. The best part of the parent mode is that it is password protected. So this is safe for your kids to be on!! There’s no chance your little one will access the internet or apps you don’t want them too. The kids can play during the day and the parents get to play after they go to bed! My kids still don’t even know that this tablet has a parent mode!

The Vinci Tablet also comes with the ability to add on apps from the Vinci website Kids Library. Most of the apps are free or inexpensively priced. There are actually apps and videos. Although we haven’t had the opportunity yet to download any of the apps the procedure looks simple enough. I’m hoping to report back on this in my next post.

The Vinci Tablet has been a great addition to our family. I feel confident letting my kids play on it as I know it’s safe and educational.

Cheers,
Nancy
