Great Gift For Guys: Fellowes Powershred 63cb & Giveaway


You know how they say opposites attract? I have to believe that is true since Alan and I are opposite on so many things. One of the big differences is that I will just toss documents in the recycle bin or garbage without a second thought. Alan likes to shred them into minuscule pieces and then burn them. I say he’s too paranoid. He says I’m not careful enough. It’s one of those things in our life that I just let him take care of instead of arguing about.
 

Lucky for him I was contacted with an opportunity to review the Fellowes Powershred 63cb Cross-Cut Shredder. Alan has been holding onto a bag of documents that he’s wanted to shred but hasn’t felt like dragging the old ancient shredder out to get it done. The ancient shredder balances on top of a garbage can and slowly shreds one sheet of paper at a time. ugh.

This shredder is awesome and shreds documents quickly and efficiently. Set up was easy, just set the shredding component on top of the bin and plug in. Switch on the power button on the back, move the front button to the “play” position and start shredding papers. It can shred up to 10 sheets of paper at one time. Its super savvy Jam BlockerTM technology features an electronic sensor that measures paper and prevents overfeeding which immediately stops jams in their tracks. This handy gadget can shred papers for 8 minutes straight before requiring a 20 minute recharge period. 8 minutes is a long time when you are shredding!

Two of my favorite features about this machine is that it shreds credit cards (that is one thing I’m a bit more careful about and use scissors to cut expired cards into tiny pieces) and it has technology that senses when hands are touching the paper opening and immediately stops shredding.

Alan shredded an entire bag of documents before the 8 minutes were up. He’s thrilled to use a shredder that works so well and I’m happy that I’m not tripping over a bag of documents anymore. Fellowes has made this one happy house.

    I would give this to my husband…we have SOOOOO much shredding that needs to get done, but it never does! We have filing that needs to be filed, but all our old papers that need to be shredded are still in the files!

    Is it selfish to say me? Hubby and I each have our own little business from home so this would help us out. Right now my FIL has a wood burning fire place in his garage and he takes out sensitive papers and burns them for us

    I would give this to my son who is need of one. …unless I keep the new one and give him my old one.( Now that is not in keeping with the Holiday Season , is it?)
