Snow White and The Huntsman was released on DVD on Tuesday. I hosted a viewing party with some of my best girlfriends…movies are always more fun with friends.

To keep things simple I ordered pizza, had some tasty Popcorn Factory treats, and served Yellow Tail wine. It’s a good thing my friends are easy going and don’t mind when I choose to serve simple food.

We fixed our plates and started the movie. I saw the movie in the theater, but my girlfriends hadn’t seen it yet. I was interested to hear what they had to say about the movie.

During our viewing party I was also tweeting with other across the U.S. who were watching the movie at the same time. The tweets were interesting and it was fun to see what others were thinking.

It was a little nice to know we weren’t the only ones unimpressed with Kristen Stewart and this was a tweet that we all agreed on:

I loved watching a movie at home with friends and with friends across Twitter. That was a lot of fun.

Although we weren’t loving the film we persevered and watched it until the end. Here are our takeaways:

1. Charlize Theron is AMAZING!!! She completely saves the film. We all decided we need a feathered robe and minions. A couple of us would just be happy with just having minions.

2. The costumes are fantastic. The costume designers out done themselves on Charlize’s costumes.

3. Kristen Stewart is the most one-dimensional actress we’ve ever seen. We were pretty convinced that her facial expressions never changed. We were NOT fans.

4. The plot and writing is subpar. Yes, I just went there. We were not impressed.

However, we had a great time chatting and drinking wine so the night was a success!
