Rubbermaid 2-in-1 Recycler

We try to recycle as much as possible. The worst part about recycling, for me, is finding a place to store everything until I have time to make it to the recycle center. It’s often piled on the floor next to the garbage can or on the floor next to the counter. I’ve been looking for a container to keep everything in and I finally found the Rubbermaid 2-in-1 Recycler.

It’s the perfect solution for our needs. It stores all our cardboard/paper recycle items and quite a few of our plastic and glass items as well. It’s not so huge that it takes up a lot of room either. We have it in our mud room and it doesn’t interfere with our day to day living at all.

We store the paper in the top bin. It will hold a couple weeks worth for us which is a good thing since I’m awful at driving over to the recycle center. Sometimes I wonder if we are the last town in the U.S. to not have curbside pick up; that would make things so much easier.

After the bins are full they lift right out of the stand for easy transport. Just haul the entire things to the center, dump them, set them back in the stand and they are ready to fill again.

We keep a trash bag in our bottom bin so that the container stays clean. We are pretty good about washing everything before recycling it, but I often toss items in wet, the trash bag just keeps things a bit more tidy.
I’ve been using our 2-in-1 recycler for about a month now and I really like it. It has really reduced the clutter from our kitchen and been an easy way to contain our recyclables.

The Rubbermaid 2-in-1 recycler can be found at a store near you or purchased online at www.rubbermaid.com. Suggested Retail Price: $43.99

What system do you use to store your items?

disclaimer: i received a free 2-in-1 recycler in exchange for my honest opinion.

Lipton Honey & Tea On The Go

Back in January I quit my long-term addiction to Diet Coke. I went cold turkey and started drinking either coffee or water. Actually, it was a lot more water than coffee until I stopped craving Diet Coke. The cravings finally quit and I feel better, but I still crave cold flavorful drinks.  Lucky for me …Read More
