Back in January I quit my long-term addiction to Diet Coke. I went cold turkey and started drinking either coffee or water. Actually, it was a lot more water than coffee until I stopped craving Diet Coke. The cravings finally quit and I feel better, but I still crave cold flavorful drinks. 

Lucky for me Lipton has a new product out called Lipton Tea & Honey On The Go. Right away I liked that it was an ice tea flavored drink mix. Now that summer is almost here we’ll be drinking a lot more iced tea.  The On The Go portion is really appealing to me as well. We often fill our reusable water bottles to take with us when we go places. I like that using the reusable bottles is good for the environment, but sometimes I want something yummy so being able to toss an On The Go packet in my purse to use later is the perfect solution. 

Another big selling point for the tea is that it is sweetened with honey (yum!!), is made from real tea leaves and real fruit flavors and is only 5 calories per 8 oz serving. That is awesome! It’s nice that the tea isn’t full of chemicals. It makes me a lot more apt to drink it.

The Lipton Tea On The Go takes up hardly any room at all in my purse.

I was headed out for errands this morning and quickly made some tea in my to go mug before leaving. I tossed another packet in my purse in case I needed a refill later.

I’m really excited about using these for air travel. I carry my reusable water bottle with me and refill at drinking fountains, but now I’ll be able to have tasty iced tea instead. The packets take up no room at all so they will easily fit into my purse or carry on luggage. 

Between hiking, kayaking, camping, festivals and road trips this summer I’ll be able to stay well hydrated with a delicious beverage that is compact and easy to carry with me. Oh, and for those days that I don’t carry my purse or tote, the Lipton Tea slips right in my jean pocket. Perfect!
