It was a whirlwind adventure in New York City this past week. I was flying to New York City for the Museum of Chocolate Art gallery opening. I had been eagerly anticipating this event ever since I received the invitation. I mean, really, what is better than an art gallery centered around chocolate?
I arrived on Monday, grabbed a taxi to the Hilton Hotel in the Fashion District (oh, my) and crashed for a couple hours.
After a brief rest it was off to explore for a bit . I happened upon a gourmet food store while I was wondering around and fell in love. So many beautiful things, so few suitcases
Later that afternoon the rest of the bloggers arrived and we had dinner at Eataly. A wonderful Italian marketplace/restaurant on 5th Ave. Afterwards, we decided to call it an early night since we had such a big day ahead of us on Tuesday.
The food was so delicious!
Tuesday the day started bright and early at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast in the hotel. I finally got to meet Lauren and Courtney from Collective Bias. I have worked with these gals for almost a year yet we have never met. One of the downfalls of freelance work is that you seldom meet people face to face so it was a pleasure to finally meet them. In addition to Courtney & Lauren, some of my favorite bloggers were joining us. Our group consisted of Rebecca from Cre8tive Compass, Kristy from Mommy Hates Cooking, Monica from Monica Wants It and Lori from A Day in Motherhood. Right away I could tell that we were all going to be fast friends. Its like we had known each other for years. I absolutely love when that happens.
During breakfast Courtney surprised all the of us with a Sony Nex-3 camera so we could document our NYC adventure. I’m really enjoying the camera and you can read all about it here.

After breakfast it was off on a Sex in the City tour, then to Times Square, a visit to the M&M store, and a late lunch. What wonderful fun. The best part of the day was yet to come as we made our way to the Museum of Chocolate Art gallery opening where we met Ms. Brown and seen Ms. Vanessa Williams.
I was really looking forward to the event especially after seeing the M&M Superbowl advertisement:
LOL, isn’t that ad great?

That looks like so much fun. I’ll be in NYC next month and will have to check it out. And I’m totally jealous of the new camera. I’m currently starting to think about maybe buying a new one.
What a wonderful trip! Memories and experiences you won’t soon forget, I’m certain!
