Animal Planet is hosting a Puppies vs. Babies online contest to determine which one is cuter. The decision is being left up to the general public and their votes will tell the truth.

I know it’s a tough call because both are simply adorable. However, I’m here to give you 5 very solid reasons why you should vote for puppies in the Animal Planet contest.

~Puppies do not keep you up all night. That’s right, folks. Have a puppy and get some sleep. Have a baby and throw sleep out the window for at least a solid couple months.

~You can leave a puppy in a crate at home while you run errands. You can’t do that with a baby.

~Puppies require very few supplies. Dog food, water, maybe a toy or two. That is about it. Have you seen the amount of items babies require?? Holy bells, buckets of stuff. I’ve seen strollers at the mall recently that are loaded with baby gear. Dude! Seriously??

~Nothing beats that soft, cuddly puppy that will greet you at the door with happy yips.

~I have never seen an ugly puppy, never. They are always cute and adorable and you can never resist holding one. I wish I could say the same for babies. Now, I know all parents think their babies are cute and to them they are, but I have seen some not so cute babies, just sayin’.
