Root:1 Cabernet Sauvignon {Review}

As you may remember I’m not a fan of red wine. My sister gave me a bottle of this Cabernet Sauvignon for Easter. I was a little hesitant to try it, but my sister is insisting that I start expanding my wine pallet.

Surprisingly, I really liked this wine.

The color of the wine is amazing. It is the deep, rich, almost majestic purple color that is just wonderful. The smell is earthy with a hint of black cherry.  The taste has just a touch of sweetness, but that is quickly overwhelmed by the other flavors. The finish is dry and crisp. For a red wine I give it two thumbs up!

This wine runs around $10 a bottle.

Do you enjoy red wines?? Which is your favorite??

Cheers,

    If I'm going to go red, I like Pinot Noir. I like some merlots too, but find that the ones I really love have cost a small fortune (my old boss and I went through several bottles of really really pricey stuff. I may have cried upon realizing I'd never be able to buy it myself).
