While my friend & her family are enjoying the sun and surf in St. Thomas I’m watching her sons Hermit Crabs. This has got to be about the easiest pet EVER to care for. Just make sure they have water and a bit of food and that is it.

We kept them up on the bookshelf to keep the cat out of them. I found that keeping a blanket partially over their home kept it a bit warmer. Our house is always cold and I worried that the darn things would freeze. Looks like they are adjusting well to our climate though.

It was really hard to get a good photo of them…this was the best out of all my tries.
