Tonight is the Lunar Eclipse. The thing that makes this so exciting is that the eclipse falls on the Winter Solstice. This will not happen again until 2094 according to NASA.
The eclipse will start at 1:33 a.m. (est) Total eclipse will be at 2:41 a.m. (est) and according to NASA the best time to crawl out of bed and take a peek is 3:17 a.m (est)–that’s when the moon is in the deepest shadow and has the best color. So set your alarm clock and go outside and check it out! I’ll be crawling out of bed around 3 a.m. (est). I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the skies are clear–currently there are clouds
