I would love the opportunity to go to Blissdom ’11. I have never attend a blog conference before and Blissdom sounds divine…I’d really, really love to go. What a fantastic venue for moms to help each other. I think it’s so important that woman provide a support network for other woman. We have so much knowledge to share and gain from one another. Whether it’s how to build blogs, increase our business revenue, improve skills, etc. There is just an infinite amount of knowledge available at Blissdom and I would love to be a part of that.
Additionally, I think I could use a few days away to recharge my batteries. The past two years have been busy. About 18 months ago my son’s best friend moved in with us and stayed for a year and then right after the friend moved out, my son’s girlfriend moved in and is still with us. I’m amazed at how so many parents just toss their children aside. It breaks my heart.
I’m grateful we have been able to step in and provide a loving home for them. However, going from 2 teenagers to 3 teenagers has been a challenge, dynamics in the household change, how you interact with one another changes, but, quite honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love knowing that they are safe and cared for. Of course, as two of the teenagers are now graduated from high school they think they are all grown up and don’t need parents, but children ALWAYS need to know there is someone that loves them and that they can turn to. I’m honored to be that person.
I think a few days at Blissdom would be wonderful. I would be able to connect with so many moms and hear their stories. Hopefully, I would be able to share valuable information with them as well. I would love to get a group of mom’s together and share photo knowledge with them. Overall, I think it would be a fantastic experience.
THANK YOU to MarketMommies.com for providing me the opportunity to win a ticket.
Cheers,
Btw, if my blog post is picked as one of the top entries I’ll need your votes starting November 20th (MY BIRTHDAY!!!). I’ll keep you posted
