I’m planning a family vacation to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN. We haven’t been on a vacation in over 3 years and I’m in serious need of a getaway. However, I got to thinking….(always a scary thought I know), is it really considered a vacation for me if I’m just transferring all my duties from one location to another??
I’ll still have to plan meals, grocery shop, cook, and clean. That’s not to say that I can’t enlist the help of others, but the responsibility of it is on me. Unless I ask no one sees anything that needs to be done. (((sigh))) If we were independently wealthy I would just eat every meal out and have a daily maid come pick up after us, however, that’s not the case. Maybe I’m just feeling cranky today and that’s what brought this up.
I’m not implying that I won’t have fun, but I would love to have a REAL (ie: no cooking/cleaning) vacation.
I’m curious though, how do other mom’s really feel about family vacations.
Is it fun for you?
Do you eat out every meal and/or hire out all the meals/cleaning??
When you go on vacation do you feel like it’s a vacation or is it just more work???
