As an adult I’ve never taken the time to make popcorn on the stove. It’s always been microwave popcorn. I finally decided to change that and give the stove top popcorn a try. I have very fond memories of my mom popping corn this way..as a child I loved shaking the Hamady bag after mom poured the melted butter on top (Hamady was a chain grocery store in the greater flint area…we didn’t have paper bags at the house, we had Hamady bags
) Making the popcorn was just as I remember and brought back great memories. Don’t think we’ll ever go back to microwave popcorn now.
Quite honestly, I can’t believe we haven’t done this sooner. It’s cheap, takes about the same amount of time as microwave popcorn and tastes lots better.

I remember thinking when the microwave popcorn first came out-how lazy can people get. Now, I use it. Sigh. Perhaps it's time for a switch back………..
Mmmmmm YUMMY!
Stove popped corn is one of our favorite snacks at our house. I make lots extra and then make popcorn balls with peanut butter, honey, raisins and other yummy things thrown in.
I LOVE POPCORN!
I'm just wondering if you got your friendship bag yet? I know we're not supposed to tell who are partners are but I'm just curious if it showed up?
So how do ya do it???
